Heckrodt Wetland Reserve uses volunteers in every aspect of our operations. Please download an application, fill it out, and return it the Nature Center. Current opportunities are also listed in Calling All Volunteers, our monthly volunteer newsletter. Please note, we are not currently accepting unsupervised court ordered community service.
Upcoming Volunteer Needs
Trail Monitors
December 13 – monitor trail closure sites to ensure no one enters tree cutting areas.
Nature Center Sitter
December 17 – watch over the Nature Center while naturalist conducts a program (12:30-3 PM)
Photographers
Photographers needed to take photographs of the Reserve in winter, including scenes, critters, and people.
Snowshoe Rental
Weekend snowshoe rental after trails open. 11 AM – 4 PM Saturdays and Sundays.
