Volunteer

Heckrodt Wetland Reserve uses volunteers in every aspect of our operations. Please either fill out the online forms below, or download an application, fill it out, and return it the Nature Center. Current opportunities are also listed in Calling All Volunteers, our monthly volunteer newsletter. Please note, we are not currently accepting unsupervised court ordered community service.

Contact Andrea Bierbrauer, HWR Community Resource Coordinator,  for information.

General Volunteer or Summer Youth Community Service?  Which application do I choose?

The Summer Youth Community Service application is for youth entering 9th – 12th grade who would like to volunteer during the summer months.   Special hours are set aside for this group of incredible volunteers.   Summer volunteers choose how many days they want to work, but must work on a regular schedule within the hours  set aside.  This volunteer service is not for service required for behavior issues (court ordered).

The General Volunteer application is for adults and families for any volunteer effort, and  also for high school age youth not volunteering during summer months.

To use the fillable Volunteer Form, save the form to your computer, open from your saved drive, fill it out, and click the green button at the end of the form to transmit it via email.

If clicking the  green button does not work, you can save the completed application as a pdf to your computer, and then attach it to an email to andreab@heckrodtwetland.org.

You can also print the form and fill it out by hand.
