Room Rentals

During winter, please be aware the HWR closes when our local schools have cancelled classes. Any scheduled rentals will also be cancelled. Weekend closures will be at the discretion of the Executive Director with a decision made by the Friday before. In the event of weather-related closure, full refunds of rental fees will be made.

 

Due to program use of all our facilities during the summer months, there are no room rentals between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend.

During the rest of the year:

The Presentation Room available for rental by the general public during our regular operating hours and provided they are not in use for HWR programming.   All rental fees support programs and operations at the Reserve.

Please note that HWR does not rent for weddings or receptions in any of our facilities.  No outdoor weddings of any size are permitted on the property.

Presentation Room of the Nature Center

The Presentation Room of the Nature Center provides a great location for training sessions and workshops, meetings, and family events. Maximum banquet style seating is 72 people. Rental provides access to the kitchen for pot luck or catering. The Nature Center is heated and air conditioned; a gas log fireplace is available in season. The room has a projection wall for presentation, with a podium and microphone available at no cost. The Nature Center remains open to the public during rentals, so expect a level of noise consistent with our regular operation.

Our outbuildings and picnic pavilion are for HWR program use only ;and are not available for rent.  Group use of our picnic pavilion is not permitted unless you have scheduled a program with our naturalists (school, daycare, etc).  Families casually visiting the nature center are welcome to use the picjnic pavilion provided no HWR programming is using it.  Stop by the Nature Center to inquire about availability.
